Answer: There any many medications that can affect thyroid hormone production such as lithium, amiodarone, and others. Some can also affect thyroid hormone absorption. Some of the medications that can affect thyroid hormone absorption are proton pump inhibitors such as Nexium, and you are on this medication for your reflux esophagitis. Perhaps it is better that you take your Nexium late at night before bedtime.
