Answer: I do not recommend that you take your thyroid medications with anything. The best is to take your thyroid medication, as I always say, one hour before breakfast on an empty stomach and avoid coffee, medications, vitamins, and any kind of supplements just to avoid any potential interference with thyroid hormone absorption. You need to be aware that there are some multivitamins and supplements that contain Calcium and/or iron. These should be avoided all together for at least 3-4 hours after you take your thyroid medication. There may also be other ingredients that are included in some multivitamins and supplements that cause similar interference affects. My supplements, including ThyroLife Optima, Probiotic 7-7, Liquid Vitamin D3 + K2, and ThyroLife Omega, do not contain any ingredients that significantly affect thyroid hormone absorption. These particular supplements can be taken right at the beginning of breakfast or at the end of breakfast.
